Day 3-Air Force and Turkish Embassy

Today was a really great day, and compared to yesterday, it was amazing. We were late arriving at Air Force, and that was the fault of the buses, but fortunately it didn't ruin the schedule. When we arrived, we were given a short introduction to the Air Force, and what goes on around the place, and I was surprised to find out that the Qatari Air Force accepted non-qatari's here. Then we had a little snack, and I guess all of us were extremely hungry, because in a few minutes most of the plates were polished clean. After that little (big) snack we went ahead to some underground base, where there were some more presentations and after that we got to the Airforce Plane Simulators, which were fairly entertaining, but also were fairly complicated. We then got to sit in some Fighter Jets.

We then traveled to the other side of the Air Force, where the Helicopters were resting, and I took some pictures, and some kids were afraid to take pictures, but I didn't really care. We got to the Helicopter Base, where we got to sit in some Helicopters, and they were really neat (especially the one with the Machine gun triggers).

We then sat in our little buses, and went to the Turkish Embassy. Upon arriving, we got a little brief about what is a job of an embassy, and not to mention some tips aabout Turkish Tourism. We then ate our delicious Turkish lunch ( most probably Turkey Central), and had a little singing activity, then headed off towards our school.

Day 2-Scavenger Hunt

I had was highly anticipating this day (today), but at the end it turned out to be...shall we say not so good. I came into school today, and found that the other teams were leaving to the Airforce, and I continued along to my class. Mr. Schwaberow then called us all to the Launchpad, where he told us how today was going to be planned out. So we learned the we had the Scavenger Hunt during periods 3 and 4, and the rest were planned for us to work on our Exhibition we were putting on for the 5th Graders and ALL OF EDUCATION CITY'S STAFF!!!!!!

The Scavenger Hunt started out ok, but then it got really confusing, and boring as well. At one of the stations, there was a not on a door, and we thought we were meant to open the door (which we actually were), but the security guard said no. We came back after 10 minutes, and the door was fully open, and a bunch of students were just coming out..so we were angry, and overall, the Scavenger Hunt wasn't very interesting. It wasn't very motivating as well and I suppose that was because of the lack of the value of the prize.
That's it for today!

Day 1-Sunday-The Beginning

Today was our first day in the WWW (Week Without Walls). Today we were split into our groups, and then we were given a small presentation if what is going on this week. The team leaders were then given sheets that gave the week's schedule, and they also gave us a "To Do" List, with all the things we needed to have included in our exhibition, next Sunday. We started the day off by working on creating a team name, and our team name ended up as "The Galaxy Stars". We then had to create our own badges, and below is a badge that is mine:

TO THE RIGHT IS MY BADGE----->

After we completed our badges, we had break, so I quicly put my laptop back, and went out to see what my friends were doing, and apparently they were all at the MPH, playing soccer. So I sat down with some of my other friends, and watched the game. I wanted to play but I was kind of feeling lazy as well, so I decided not to. 10 minutes later, Mr. Schaberow came out and told us that we were starting the games. We first did a game called The Sheep and the Shepard, and then we continued to do this Water game, and we then realized that all these games had one major thing in common, they all involved and were based on teamwork. After that we had lunch, and after lunch we continued with the games we didn't finish.
